I’m a sucker for TBBT!!

OMG!! I’ve been staring at the screen for more than 20 mins now…and all I can think about is Sheldon Cooper!! I had an overdose of The Big Bang Theory yesterday! I wanted to watch all the episodes that I missed of season 4 and this is what happens to me when I watch too much TBBT….All I can think about is Sheldon and his dialogues. One of my favorite Sheldon-dialogues is from Season 3.

 “How on earth can you say dirty sock and relax in the same sentence??!!!” :D:D

 Okay, since I have nothing better to talk about, let get to the OOTD!! That little voice inside me wanted to mix prints again and I just couldn’t say no! So here it is..another outfit with two different prints; this time it's stripes and florals :)

Stripes & Camouflage

This is almost becoming my go-to outfit for summers… As (you might have guessed it by now) yellow is my “it” color, top-skirt-belt-shoes is one of my go-to outfits this season. But this one was a bit tricky because I was mixing it up with stripes and camouflage. I wish I wasn’t so scared of mixing prints; I always feel I’ll end up looking like a clown!!

Six months and a handful of Sunshine...

It’s been six months in blogosphere and a sunny ride so far!! In these six months I have filled this space with my personal style, my passion for food, my little anecdotes and of course my random ramblings (quite a handful!!:p). I’ve come across a lot of people (non-bloggers of course), who find blogging (especially personal style blogging) pointless; okay, they might have their own “good” reasons, but lets not go there. I’m glad that I have a medium to share my interests with like minded people out there. It makes me happy, and that’s what matters, lets leave it at that.

So here’s an outfit that speaks a lot about my state of mind (most days) since the day I started blogging!

Whoa!! The day I put up my post about the terrible hot weather, it rained. I think the rain Gods read my blog too! Gee I’m getting popular! Had I known this, I would have rambled about the heat a few weeks earlier. Haha! Sorry, bad joke!! I’m terrible at making up and telling jokes. I never stop trying though! If R had a nickel for every time I tell a bad joke, he would have been rich (or have a whole lot of nickels) :P!!

In other news - I’m wearing this dress for the 3^rd time this season (wore it previously here and here). So sue me!! But I only wish I could live in this dress; it's easily the most comfortable piece of clothing in my closet! Comfort tops the list during Summers, doesn’t it?

Blame the heat!! %^&*##

Lately, I’m having the hardest time to get things done. It’s awfully hot in Bangalore these days and it’s getting into my nerves now! I love bright and sunny days, but when it gets real hot, my energy drains out completely and I feel lethargic. Consequences – I don’t get things done and become a couch-potato; in my world, that’s a terrible thing!! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my leisure time as much as everyone else does; nevertheless, when I just spend my whole Sunday sitting on the couch, browsing TV channels, it makes me cranky at the end of the day! I need to do something productive in a day (it may be as simple as organizing my table). Fortunately, I could pull myself out of the couch early enough to finish most of my stuff on Sunday! So I would still say that  it was a good weekend!! Anyhow, soon, I should come up with something to keep myself going, coz the heat is really draining out all my energy.

Love at first trip!!

Yeah, it was my first trip to Mumbai and I fell in love with the city!! I have heard not-so-good things about the city – hot and humid, people are mean, crowded like hell and the list goes on; but all of it took a back seat the moment I landed there!!

Mumbai’s signature delight - Vada pav, the picturesque view of queens necklace, the iconic Taj hotel, the famous Leopold Café, the landmark - Gateway of India, shopping in the streets of Colaba- I loved it all!! One of the best part was the walk along the marine drive in the evening!! I found Mumbai very romantic; in a very unconventional way (is it just me??)!! Whadya think?!!

Weather wise, it’s a bit humid, but the brighter side is – unlike in Bangalore, I didn’t have to moisturize my skin and yet it was baby-soft (trust me to turn a con into a pro **giggles**)!!

Walking the ramp!!!

I have so much to tell you guys...where should I start?!! I was in Mumbai for the weekend to attend a fashion event organized by Pantaloons. And I got to walk the ramp there!!! I had so much fun; a week back I never thought I would do something like that!! Okay, let's get to the most interesting part (yes, walking the ramp wasn't the most interesting part!!) :):) Well, I got to walk the ramp with one of the Miss India 2011 finalists... Now isn't that cool?!! There's more - she styled me as well!!

How did this happen? There was this contest in stylepile* and the winners get styled by and walk the ramp with one of the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2011 finalists. I just participated for fun, submitted some of my outfit pictures, I won and next thing I knew, I was in a flight to Mumbai. It was a hell of an experience!! There were 19 more winners like myself (picked up from contests in facebook, stylepile etc..). Each one of us was paired with one of the PFMI contestants. My partner for the day was Deepika Bajwa. She's the sweetest of the lot!! To be honest, I was a bit intimidated to meet these beauties, I mean, they are like 6 feet tall, skinny and beautiful, really beautiful. But, Deepika made it so easy and FUN!! My best wishes to Deepika and all the PFMI 2011 finalists for the upcoming finals on 14^th April.

…Aaaand that’s how I walked the ramp for the first time in my life!! And probably the last time; it's just not my forte! Many thanks to Pantaloons and Stylepile!! And a special thanks to R who encouraged me to go for it and supported me throughout!!!

I’m sorry; couldn’t come up with anything better for my title, ‘coz that’s exactly my state of mind right now!! Yeah, I’ve been chosen the notable newbie by Blogadda!! Yaaaayyyy!! This is my first; so you can imagine my excitement!!!

Long Weekend and Pot Roast

Some good news, before I start my random ramblings – One of my close friends had a baby girl last week and we are all soooooo excited. She is the first baby in my gang-of-gals.:):) I held a-day-old-baby in my arms for the first time and the feeling was just amazing!!

...And three cheers to the Indian Cricket team!! Quite an emotional moment, I tell ya!

It was a long weekend and I had the most relaxing time at home!! My sis-in-law was visiting for the weekend and the major agenda was good food, street shopping and watching TV (in no particular order). Sounds boring? YES? **SAD FACE** Don’t worry; you're still my friend, coz u care to read on…**TING**
Hmmm, so I cooked the yummiest food over the weekend. :):) As modesty goes out the kitchen window, let me tell you what was on the menu - chicken pot roast with green salad and mashed potatoes, and smoked chicken pizza with lotsa cheese. Mouthwatering!!?? If you are interested, check out my pot roast recipe at the end of this post.

Outfit – I didn’t click any outfit pictures, so I’m just posting a picture that I clicked last week and didn’t post it for some reason; I guess I wanted to try it out with a blue/white top.
