The Friday Pamper :)

Friday evenings are the BEST!! It's the best part of my weekend. No matter how my Friday goes...by evening I am happy and chirpy :):):)...I try winding up early at work and spending some alone time at home before my husband gets back from work (not that I don't want him around, but sometimes a girl needs her "alone time"!!)..And oh yes, did I tell you? One of my favorite pastimes is cooking - trying out a new recipe, giving it my personal touch, putting it together on the plate; I just love every bit… but having a full time job does not allow me to explore my culinary skills often. So if we are not going to the movies or eating out, I spend most of my Friday "alone time" creating something fab in my little kitchen :):):)...hmmm, and I get to pamper my hubby who is a hardcore foodie!

My latest creation was grilled prawns with baby potatoes and stir fried vegetables. Isn't it colorful??!!! and yummmmmy tooo ;p

Prawns are marinated (for 30 mins) in soy sauce, chilly flakes, tomato sauce, garlic, salt and freshly crushed pepper and then grilled for 10 mins.
Baby potatoes are boiled and pan fried with herbs (rosemary, basil and parsley) and salt.
Vegetables (red & yellow bell pepper, baby corn, broccoli) are stir fried with slit green chillies, salt and lime juice.

...and...voila!!! your dinner is ready in less than 45 mins :)...try it and start your weekend with a colorful plate!

If you can do this, you can do anything…

I am not a very adventurous person; this is my personal belief and I’m sure most of my friends would agree with me. Although I end up engaging myself in a lot of adventurous activities – like trekking, camping in the forest, river rafting, parasailing etc etc….I guess this is because most of my friends love adventure J. There were times (especially when we went for the white water river rafting) when I thought I would not come back alive…I know I know…it’s just a tickle for all those who love the adrenaline rush, but for me it’s HUGE!!!

…And last year, on our honeymoon in Mauritius, I did something I never dreamt of in my wildest dreams…. I jumped off an aeroplane. Unlike me, my husband loves crazy stuff like this. I owe him a big one for convincing me to do it!! There are no words fit enough to describe the feeling of freedom when free falling from 10000 feet at 200 kph. That unforgettable 45 seconds free fall blew my mind!

It was a beautiful sunny morning and I wanted to keep it simple and comfortable for the obvious reasons JJ.

I loved those jumpsuits; they are so cool!

All set JJ

After the dive, Chris, one of the divers, told me – next time, when you are having a hard day at work, just tell yourself ‘I jumped off an aeroplane, I can get through this’
